Preston's 5th Birthday

Preston is so full of life. So energetic and smart. 
He wanted every Transformer known to man, and between Christmas 2016 and this birthday, I think he got it. 
The morning began with us having to talk Preston into opening presents. He didn't want to, it wasn't his party yet. 
And he wasn't 5 yet because that doesn't happen until "Happy Birthday" is sung.
So finally we opened presents!

Since his birthday is on the New Year holiday we had New Years dinner.  Then it was cake time.  And he refused to allow us to sing Happy Birthday to him---and yet, he's still NOT 5. So after some coaxing we said a prayer before cutting cake....because that's what you do if you don't sing happy birthday!!! Funny boy!

Christmas 2016

We had a great Christmas.  The boys were so excited.  So excited Christmas eve they struggled to go to sleep.  We had an elf join us this year.  They named her Jingle (yes a girl, cause Mama needed another girl in the house)

Blake adored Jingle, so much that she sent him Jingle pajamas to wear Christmas eve.
Gifts: Transformers for Preston and a OU jersey with Blake's name on it. Lots of basketball stuff, puzzles and sports books.

Watching Santa Live

on Christmas Eve we watched Santa's livestream for a while.  At one point Blake took my phone an commented on Santa's livestream.  Funny

Sick P

Nothing is worse than call a telling you your child is sick.  P was sick Thursday and Friday.

Preston's getting better at writing his name. But his "s" still crack up his teachers, cause he can make them go up to the sky!  And when did Blake begin to color so neatly?
