Got the call tonight to take cover from a possible tornado....Blake was fast asleep and I had to get him out of his crib. Luckily he slept for most of time we were "waiting" in the bathtub. Lucky for us, we never heard the sound of a "freight train"...Boomer was in the bathtub with us, Oliver ran from me so it was --you're on your own for him....Midway thru Blake woke up and was intrigued. After it was over and for a while Blake was happy like this.....

Blake's bathtub...I never thought about having toys to entertain him, but the tub toys came in handy!

A DAY AT THE ZOO

So being on vacation our schedule was kind of messed up. On this day we had to wait for the rain to quit, by then it was Blake's lunchtime then nap time to follow. So we fed him lunch and then put him in the car which he feel fast asleep. We got to the zoo just moments later and we didn't know if he was going to sleep through the zoo or what. So we loaded him in the stroller still asleep, paid admission and Blake stayed asleep. So we strolled through with a sleeping baby. We got to the monkey exhibit which we know he loooooves! So we woke him up.

We asked him "How does a Monkey go?"

He loved the Penguins

He learned to do a Rooster call while we were there....

At first he was scared of this Gorilla-but he warmed up

And after the zoo it was way past our nap time---but the wind was blowing hard. Luckily from our failed attempt on Saturday, our kite was still in the truck. So in the Zoo parking lot we flew a kite.

I was mortified of the cars-but luckily there wasn't much traffic and they saw what we were doing and went slow. Thank goodness!


The Zoo wore this boy out! 2 seconds after putting him in the car---he was fast asleep and slept for 2 hours-even after being taken out of the car

Azaleas & Water

On Sunday, besides going to church and running an errand for our sick Grandma, we had a lazy day.....

Vacation Began

I took a few days off and Todd had the week off for vacation. So officially vacation together began Friday Night, April 8.....First with swimming lessons where Blake stayed under water more than he stayed on the water....he was a rock star swimmer! I'll blog more about that later....First Friday night was the twins 8th birthday. So it was off to our cousins Rachel and Catherine's house for cake and play time.....
