For some reason, Blake now thinks it's incredibly funny to pull his sockie off his foot and shove it in his mouth. I have to take it away before he gags himself. But tonight I got quite a few pictures.

SNOW DAYS

On Jan 29 & Feb 8 Central Arkansas got some snow...on the 8th we got 6 inches of snow....Here are some photos of Blake's first real snows......

Sitting Up

He is such a BIG BOY. One day he was sitting up ONLY with help. The very next day, he was sitting up with help and then the phone rang, I got up and after a few minutes I realized he was sitting all by himself!!!!

He's got the greatest smile, but every picture I take, this is the same expression I get. Oh well!

Mr Handsy!!!

The 2nd week in January Blake began to really explore things. He continued to find toys. He's found his FAVORITE right now, a green dinosaur that plays "Twinkle twinkle little star"--ok this started a fight in my house. I said it was "Twinkle" and T was insistent it was "The ABC song"

Anyway back to Blake....he now takes the spoon away from me and puts it in his mouth when I'm trying to feed him. He's taking his bottle out of his mouth and putting it back in.

And my FAVORITE thing was after a long day at work I came home and I picked him up and hugged him and he touched my face!!!! Yeah.

But the sweetest moment was Blake holding his hands out to try to pet Boomer and Oliver. Oliver's too quick, as soon as Blake moved Oliver was gone, fast as lightening but not Boomer he stood right there letting Blake explore him.
OK so I don't have pictures of Blake touching the dogs-yet!!!!
But here's one that will make you laugh.

This is punishment for when I caught Oliver chewing on one of Blake's bibs. He had to wear it. He was freaking out.

January---the IT Month

The month of January turned out to be the month everything happened...well maybe it's the FIRST of many more to come.....
On January 2nd (My Dad's birthday) Blake sat up with only a little help in the bath tub. Before then, he always laid back in the hammock.....

Then the next week it was like a light went off, he began to use his hands and grabbed at things. Grabbed at his toys, he took his pacifier out of his month AND he "tried" to give me kisses. It was FANTASTIC.

For the past month Blake had been eating cereal......

He's quite good at making a mess.

So I prepared for his transition to baby food at the end of January. I began making baby food for him. Not all of it, but as much as I can.

January 5th---My first batch...Sweet potatoes

New Years Eve

While Mommy was in the kitchen making homemade salsa Blake enjoyed his bouncy seat...
